Retaso is a social enterprise that aims to create awareness, drive action, and to provide a solution to textile waste. They uphold sustainability and fair tradeby upcycling excess fabric and empowering local Filipino seamstresses and brands.
Retaso within the name itself means “scraps” in the Filipino language. At Retaso, they find value and purpose in what has been thrown away – refining, upcycling, and repurposing textile scraps into sustainable and environmentally friendly products that can be used everyday.
This bag’s design was inspired by the rising sun.
It’s a simple reminder to make everyday special by always trying to see things in a new light - through fresh eyes and second chances.
